Who's In Control Here?

Who's In Control Here?

A Poem by Spoken

I'm percolating thought drip drops like the tick tock of a clock
through the sands of time seeping out an hour glass
you get a glimpse of the vast cavern of endless contemplation within me.

My thoughts walk all over me
like they own me
like they're all there is or ever will be.
They act like they are me,
or are they?
who's in control here?
the contemplation of you existing within me
is the very definition of insanity.

Stop stepping on my brain!
planting millions of footprints.
like goblins rummaging through my gold mine-mind,
trying to find the notion of me
and strip it- like fruit from a rind.
My thoughts are revolting against
my intellect and better judgement

We shall see
who gets the better of me.
