Dreamers Die at Daylight

Dreamers Die at Daylight

A Poem by Spoken
"

inspired by Rock and Roll Cowboy's "Speak of the Devil" ...go read it! oh and since your here.. read mine too!

"

Dreamers die at daylight

We stretch in our beds
Like the spread of wings
And wonder where
We’ll go this night

And every morning
kryptonite
Our bodies ache
In the weight of gravity

Slaying our leviathan
potency

Retreat! Retreat!
into our labyrinth of dream
where we can
revive again

Wow first off I am honored that I inspired such a wonderful writer like you... secondly I love it...

And every morning
kryptonite
Our bodies ache
In the weight of gravity

now that is an extraordinary way of talking bout waking from a great dream into the reality of the new day and cruel world. You really rock with poetic grace.

"Retreat! Retreat!.." LOL... love it. I say that every single morning!!! :P

Nice work :) Yes, for us dreamers who enjoy our fantasy worlds, this should be our motto. Indeed.

....Ha! Ha, ha, ha! I'm with you. The poet writes:

''Day seems short
when night's a cruel and frightening place
Day seems long
when night's a warm and welcome embrace." Or somewhat along those lines.

Excellent message and line-breakage.
