A Letter

A Letter

A Poem by Spoken

It started as a letter
And grew
To a million letters
flowing in emptiness
Their purpose- only to exist

A finger reaches
to scratch that itch
of curiousity
a letter is plucked
from the coloquey tree

then two
then three

soon leaves shake violently
by the wind of our lips
speaking their name

ink droplets fall
like apples drawn
to gravity

we play
letter romps
rolled like balls
built like blocks
smashed together
and spoken outloud

a liquid word
hardens
becomes solid

then two
then three

forming texture
soon
sentences gasp
like baby's first breath
and in the midst of our spray

we moisten the world
with definition

and so we converse
about meanings
about feelings
about what we hope to achieve
about some higher purpose
what we’ve done today
what we’ll do tomorrow
about the colors of the world

our voices gyser
and we are heard

awaken our sleepy eyed prose

may the rumble of newborn ideas
muffle not each profound sound
But articulate in echoes
a life well spent
in expression

off the depth of our canyoned aspiration
words are waiting for reverberation
tantalizing the inner drum
of our ear
and our hearts
daring us

to step from the edge of the page

transcending
cascading

the aurora of our capability
blooming like the sunrise
an endless vision

feet together
arms outstretched
head thrown back

I step to the eroding edge
of boundary
a thought is whispered
to a gentle breeze
and I tip over with ease
trusting

the expanse of humanity-

anything can be
second nature.

words become habit that's formed
not given at birth
but learned

Is it too bold to believe

we can learn to love
like we learned to speak?

augmenting love like Boston Lager
we take a sip
in daily routine

lets matter-of-factly
love
like the words that
roll off our tongue

maybe one day we can look back
and say

it started as a letter
and grew..

Wow....This is awesome.
These are the words i want everyone to know one day.
These words is what we live by, no it is our life.
There is no other person in the world to define it better.
Keep on going with the good work.
A rose for you.

This is fabulous, you words are such an eloquent look into just how friend ship can grow into the best kind of love... every stanza really builds onto the next as two people fall without even realizing it. Now that is the kind of love I hope to find one day.
