My Lady of the Song

My Lady of the Song

A Poem by Spoken

I hear the melodic tone resignate in echos through my vent
floating specks of sparkling lament
a river of feathers dipped in the wind
lowered slowly from a string- your puppet calls to me
gently tickling my ear
circling
down
down
the drain to the deepest crevice of my senses
stimulating my awareness
a creeping lover’s hand over my spine
chills shake
shutters pulsate
body bursts
bumps emerge
from within supple skin
by a rushing wave blown from the wind of your lips
this music must be what happiness sings
from the harps of angels dancing in heaven
bliss winks at me as if I’ve understood something so many shant ever dream
in their carnal heart of hearts
in their words upon pages in books of the ages
when poets knew of a beauty that could not even come as close to the clouds
as the words that escape you now
They enter my home through a vent
in an apartment
where you thought you were alone
where you thought no one was listening
sing on my Ethereal Lyric
sing on
and cut the thick of night like a knife of reverence
emergent of a time when we cry in our sleep
and beg for the light of day
hope has found a name
and we huddle in our box tight constraints
praying she will sing one more word
just one more line
until our heads fall heavy on our pillows and dream
with sweet serene smiles and a peace we have never known
until this day
My Lady of the Song
soar recklessly
boundless to your tree
carry us on your wing
let us taste your talons sunk deep in the moist fruit of freedom’s womb
she kissed her hand and blew
a marinade in the soiree of the swirling night
within the picante leaf of Baguio dreams
she whispered softly
you will never be without me
so we held her in our arms
a calm to our restless hearts
in one lonely song
by my Seranata in the dead of night

I was completely and utterly blown away by this poem !! Your words danced in my heart and escaped by way of a smile. Such talent and beauty flow from your pen and right into my library. So many great lines that struck a chord. I loved this !!

I love the way you articulate your prose. it leaves the mind stimulated and the imagination well pleased and filled to the brim with images most never see.

this is a great poem and greater story of the songs that fill our heads in those lonely moments of time.

This is, as a "song" should be, very lyrical. The use of short lines is judicious and appropriate. It flows very nicely, and, as a whole, is very nicely executed. A fine piece of writing.
