Game Confusion

Game Confusion

A Poem by Spoken
"

just screwing around with different things

"

I’m at a loss
loss of life, love, everything
here in the land of loss
we’re winners when we lose
we’re looking for the final loss
to allow defeat in us
giving up is easiest
when there’s nothing left to lose
so I lose it all and claim my victory
maybe when I lose it all
I’ll finally win
but sometimes when you win
you’ve really lost
it’s a game of confusion
I play to win
and to lose
in search of a prize
I can only get when I’ve lost
and therein I win
but I can never seem to lose enough.
It’s my mouse trap
my monopoly
it’s my scattergories
in a 'whats that phrase'
worlds largest maze
never ending game.
I’d ask you if you wanna play
but in my description you may just run away…

then you’d win the game.

Very interesting piece that shows just how twisted life can be if you treat it like a game... the best reward in life is to live each day the best you can... a thought provoking piece.

wow - what a ride you take with this one - win to lose and lose to win - running away seeming to be the only winning option - hmmmm ....definitely you make the reader think with this one and that is always a good thing!!! nicely done.
