Give Me Nothing

Give Me Nothing

A Poem by Spoken
"

just something written on a whim messing around

"

I have a wasteful nature to spend beyond my means
I don’t want to rely on others for things
I want to provide for my own material needs
At least then I have no one holding gifts over my head
“remember when I gave you this or bought you that?”
“What, this piece of junk? You can have it back!”
Be damned all your selfish ways
Only giving to get your pay day
Now you see why I stand alone
no one can take back what you own
so I cash my check
pay my debts
and spend the rest!
