I Wish...

I Wish...

A Poem by Linzey

Oh how I wish to cry

To feel the heat fall from my eyes down to my cheeks

To taste the salt that reminds us of the bitter memories in our hearts

How how I wish to cry

To show the pain that's been welling up inside me for too long now

To not speak what should be seen and already known

How how I wish my heart would die

Turn stone cold so I never have to feel again

Have my tears turn to ice so I can hear men crash to the ground so easily

How how I wish I could just rip it out of my chest

It's not beating anymore...

It died long ago

I've never been able to fix it

Maybe I should just let it stay broken
