Distance is merely a measurement

This was off the top of my head... got some strong feelings in it though. There's always a reason to what we write.

People always say that you need to be close to someone to love them

Yet, that's not always the case

You can never meet someone and feel like they're your everything

They can be so similar to you and so different at the same time

You can understand them completely without ever seeing them in every day life

Though it's one of the hardest relationships to be in

The distance makes you want to feel even closer

If you want to move oceans to see this person

To be next to them every night, even though it can never happen

There's something great there

Fight for what you believe and what they believe too

Don't let something so simple be the reason you don't let love grow

One day you'll be able to meet this person

You'll be able to feel their warmth against your body

You'll be able to feel their breath against your neck at night

Their arms around your body to keep you safe from harm

If they can wait like you can...

Don't ever let that person go

For distance is only a measurement

Love is much more
