Life

Life

A Poem by Hope

In letting people know
I've got no soul
Nor do I have a goal

Can I tell you a story
Or would you rather I say sorry?

May I be pleased
By the heart you have squeezed
I was torn
And from then I was born

I never again understood the meaning of life
Until you entered my life with a stab of a knife
You've opened me
This is how it's gonna be

I burned into flames
As you stood in the fame
Can I be blamed
For the life I proclaimed?

This is me
As I set out to be
As the smile upon your face turns into a glee
I'm just glad I'm free
Don't turn your back on me

I'm not finished with you
You are long overdue
Why not take this glue
And we sha'll trade them shoes
You sir have got no clue, truly what I've been through

Welcome to my life
Sha'll I give you advice?
Or will you roll the dice?

Author's Note

Hope
I wrote this story at 11:30 PM on a school night, something strange in my mind had a sense I had to write something, so I did, and for some reason, these words have been typed, my emotions are a stir as my vision is now a blur.

This is nice. I usually write late as well, although I'm normally asleep after 11. This poem has some nice phrasing involved and no ' after sha in shall but otherwise good grammar & everything else. :) I shall read more from you very soon (aka after I finish my LA project... something i doubt i will ever get around to)
