Death by Silence

Death by Silence

A Poem by SpitfireGrrrl

you are killing me
with Silence
long torturous hours
with nothing but the whirl
and beat of my own
thoughts.
is your disappointment
so great?
is your anger so
palpable?
I would rather you
rend me with words
pierce my heart
with unsung
accusations -
level my Self
with bitter taunts
show me your
Anger.
instead...
you are killing me
with Silence,
as I suffer and
Bleed
ever
so
slowly.

I find I sometimes do just that, hold back keep inside until I explode, on the other hand to be the person in which the silence in dealt too it could be a bummer because you're left with what did I do, and I think you've done a great job in displaying that feeling in this piece.
Excellent write.

There is a fine line between silence and noise. The words drop like boot on my throat. I don;t like it too hard or too soft. Just enough to keep my thoughts in check.

Thank you!
silence is a weapon - the ignorant neglect - kills relationships without grasping its death....well said.
