Shake it off

Shake it off

A Poem by SpitfireGrrrl

gasping

those days that are covered
in ash and cloud and dust
air that crawls down the throat
like broken glass scratching

tearing

eyes bleeding pink tinged
water from the Id home
scrambling to heal from
the inside out, slowly

barely

then whipcord energy
coursing through every vein
screaming and gnashing teeth
shaking that dust far far

away

~~ you're welcome...
SpitfireGrrrl: Beautiful writing. Should have read this yesterday...one of those days, oh yes, one which you've described so well, with such beautiful spectacular imagery. You captured so many feeling and emotions in this writing. It's also uplifting too...Shake it off, great title. Those three words, I will remember and use: Love it. Life's too short for so many ridiculous things. I sometimes just simply pray for peace. So sorry, but didn't understand Id home...Thank you so much. Dale
