Stain of Heaven

Stain of Heaven

A Poem by SpitfireGrrrl
"

just thinking of gods

"
i pretend to be content
with glimpses of Heaven...

blue wings spread deep
and high, sacred flames below
(forgotten but never gone)

stigmata flowing,
Shiseido red, ruby sweet
(still quenching the masses)

eye patch in a weathered face
ravens wings, beating
timed to hearts the world round
(my father, their father)

women in threes,
hags of fate, or queens or maids
(innocent, cruel, wild -
virgin, w***e, warrior)

yet they all slip away
no matter how hard I grasp

so i am left with the Stain
of Heaven on my hands.

Thanks again! Actually, I spelled it incorrectly - Shiseido red - it's a color of make up ;)
