Hair Rising

Hair Rising

A Poem by Spit_and_Prayers
"

The daily progression of my hair

"

Used my girlfriend's shampoo again
Conditioner too, to be honest
Scented prettily like sunny lilacs
No time for proper drying methods,
It's damp till noon
Slowly curling and steaming
Under the morning sun
Like wet leaves in a fire

By noon it's set and baked
A frizzy dark chocolate confection
Which writhes angerly at futile attempts
Of taming or containment under a hat

By mid afternoon it's gone abstract
Picaso shapes blossom outward
From every angle
And independent wisps
Lazily ride the breeze

By the night it's Van Gogh
Though swirling with
No dandruff starry night
Twisted upon itself
In boy scout knots

By morning it's half plateau
Half roaring jungle
Both waiting for rejuvenating rain
Of shampoo, condition, repeat

Hahaha! That's sounds bad, but not as bad as mine. Mine tops yours probably by length, therefore a lot more thick curly insanity. But I understand. Flat irons can hold no match to my hair!!! They've yet to make one to tame mine completely! Love your write, hon!

LOL You should have rinsed. At least Salvador Dali wasn't an issue. Good write. Great topic seldom seen. Kudos. ;)
