What Does Emo Mean

I want to question...

Question why can't humanity stay together,

And also why humans think life is nothing but spam,

You should believe that life and love is a precious thing,

If not, then think about why God sent you here for,

He sent you here to believe in life.

Emo, created by broken teenagers,

Can ruin lives in just 3 days, or 5 seconds,

I want to know why people think it's cool ...

To cut themself with a knife or needle,

To try to attempt suicide,

To make theirselves feel unwanted and worthless,

And to cut thier names on thier skin.

Will cutting make everything better?

Will suicide bring rainbows?

Feeling unwanted is what'll make you feel happy?

Don't let sticks, twigs, and rocks block your path,

You are special to this world,

Don't deny it because it's true. 

Being emo is NOT going to help at all ... 

Emo doesn't make sense ....

Wouldn't you agree?

Please forgive me if this poem stinks little whale waist...
I just want all of those people to know, that emo is not a life style.
And please, if this makes no sense or doesn't approve to you, please do a favor and don't review it.

My sister and few of my friend were emo for a while. i guess it was the "cool" thing to do around here. all I can remember is just being so worried and disapointd with all of them. I mean,these are people with great families. A wonderful home life. Friends that lov them. Wh do they want to draw so much negative attention to themselves?

im a cutter and im going to answer you from my point of veiw

1.people who self harm dont think it is cool it is normally an escape from reality to take your mind off the world. it is also used as punishment I.E you parents think you are a mistake so you become obsessed and punish yourself over it also it is an addiction it FEELS GOOD like a drug. i say we dont think its cool because we dont flaunt our cuts or injuries we hide them.

2.are you kidding me? you want to know why people commit suicide, because its fun? mate that is just sickening it is never cool and quite frankly it disgusts me people dont commit suicide to get accepted they do it because things in their life have had such an affect on them like the death of a close friend or abuse ect. a few of my friends committed suicide and i dont think it was so they could feel "cool

3.we dont make ourselves "feel" that way its the way people around us make us feel like we are unloved and worthless it is not something we choose to do but if the people around us keep making us feel that way we believe it and eventually it is an expectation and a reality to us

NOW, look i know im a bit angry and that's ok, im not trying to attack you i just want you to know those things because they are very personal to me but you do bring up good points but please dont go around thinking that any of that stuff is dont because we think its "cool"

To the person who posted this review..thank you for sticking up for us. I'm a cutter myself, and seriously, after I read this poem, it made me hurt so bad. I literally started bawling. I read through the comments and it just made me hurt more, and want to cut more. But then I found yours. And it makes me feel like I'm not completely alone. And that somebody understands. Thank you for that, really. Ik you didn't mean for me to see this review, and that it was just random that I did, but I did read it, and it means so much to me. So thank you.

This poem doesn't stink as long as it came from the heart, which is obviously did. I personally love it so there :P
I love this poem, but I don't agree with the final statement, emo is a lifestyle in some ways, most of the times it isn't willing though if it is chosen. I won't give you a psychological spiel though :)

Being emo isn't the same now as it was (or how it was viewed where I lived) when I was younger (young teens, I'm only 20 lol). It was far more... badass. Not about cutting or s**t, it played in with music and faith and whatnot. So different.
