Sad Past

You were once there for me long ago.
How I wish to feel that warmth once again.
I know that it is false hope to wish for such a thing.
For it will only bring,
heartache and pain.
For I know it cannot last,
no matter how much, I dwell on the past.
I cry over those days,
missinjg and wanting the love I once felt.
But I must force the facts,
and stop living in my past.
You will never go back,
to the one I once loved.
I'll never see that spark,
that made my heart start.
Now,
all I will see,
is the anger and hatred towards me.
But always remember dad,
I still love you.

A poem, about how some of us all wish, that we could once again feel that love that we once felt from our parents who are no longer there for us and are now monsters.
