Forgotten

Forgotten

A Poem by Spirit <White Wolf>

Here I lay,

in your arms.

Feeling the love,

that surrounds.

Holding me all,

through the night.

Kissing my lips,

tender and light.

But, when you left me,

I broke down.

You were there,

when he hurt me.

And you were there,

when I was down.

But, you weren't there,

When I cried.

My tears linger,

in the night.

Dropping to the ground,

out of sight,

where they stay,

forgotten and bound.

I cry myself to sleep,

as the warm memories,

come slow and deep.

I toss and turn,

and cringe away.

As the night,

turns to day.

As the memories,

come and go.

My broken heart,

just grows ever cold.

Every night,

I cry to sleep.

As I plunge into a hole,

ever deep.

Crawling up the walls,

hoping I don't fall.

An obstacle I face,

every night.

Knowing that I will be,

forgotten.
