No One

No One

A Story by Spirit <White Wolf>

I sit here day and night,

Crying my eyes out while he laughs and plays.

I limp into the living room and tell him goodnight.

He calls out to me as I turn.

I go back to him and stand in front of him with my head bent low.

He grabs me and twists my arm,

yelling at me to look at him.

I hide my pain and lift my head,

I stare into his eyes.

He smiles the devils grin and pulls me down to him.

He slaps my face and punches my stomach.

I bend to his will and shut down.

I let him do what he wishes.

I snap out of the darkness when a loud crunching sounds.

He broke my arm.

I don't yelp, I don't cry, I don't say a thing.

He takes me to a hospital and they patch me up.

When we get home he kicks me in the back of the legs,

and tells me to go to bed.

That night I put my plan into action.

I grab the razor and retreat to the bathroom.

I lie myself in the tub and cut my splint.

I unwrap my arm and cut as deep as I can.

I use my blood and write a small message on the wall.

Then I cut my other wrist.

Before I pass, I slit my throat and die away.

That morning they found me in my blood,

and my message:

"Now I leave this world, no longer a burden."
