Mountain

Mountain

A Poem by James Wilson
"

The character in the poem is the title, a snow-capped mountain somewhere in the world.

"

A hundred thousand steps taken,

all to stare beyond my brow...

Some have buried themselves atop me,

while others fell...

Some of them sing songs about me,

others find the time to paint me,

while some curse the ground around me,

and wish that I was gone...
