Life

Life

A Poem by Jasmine

Walls go up so easily

They go down so hard

When they're in your heart

They may never depart

Life steals the joy

Joy of family and friends

Joy of laughter and love

Life steals it all

She sees the children laughing

And she wishes she could join them

But her laughter is long gone

Will it ever return

She watches as her friends leave

They find their own joy

And leave her all alone

She wishes she could go with them

After years of lose they find it hard to connect with her

She finds it hard to be happy for them

Life stole her life

Will it ever return?

wow Jasmine, what a sad and depressing poem. Isolation. Lonliness begets bitterness which begets lonliness. Its sad how sometime we push people away
