Keep Happy

Just finished this morning. Not very poetry, but I like it. The way I am, the way I feel. I think so many need to hear this.

'Keep Happy',
he said to me,
because I know
so many aren't.
Keep Happy,
always the way to be.
'Keep smiling', yes
I realise no-one
has the time, but
a half smile,
all are in their 'state.'

While I'm in a chair
there's still things I can do,
people rush around, they
never consider the other view.
They're in their world,
no thought tomorrow,
years pass all too quick,
stained red in sorrow.

Let that to be my light,
let the sun to shine,
too fast, slow down,
look around.

To slow down, give time,
see beyond,
to understand,
reach out, connect.

I'm in the position
that I see more,
I have the time,
I have the heart
to see what's going on.
My writing goes out
to all, to see a better day.
My little candle flame

Keep happy,
the only way to be.
