A strong but tragic write, Richard M and one to bathe in.. because you've shown your fear, pain and a kind of frustraion. BUT in the process, you have shown such courage and determination in doing so. With heart and mind i sincerely wish you a quick-ish and safe recovery. PRAYERS
I have been through this feeling more than once. I spent six months in traction with stainless pins, rods, plates and screws in my leg. It was slow going learning to walk again. Then, after major abdominal surgery I was only off my feet for a few weeks but it was amazing how quickly my muscles atrophied from lack of nutrition, nothing like limping to the bathroom to try a bowel movement only to have blood come gushing from your stapled up abdomen with the slightest strain. Life is a tough journey for us all at one time or another. And we never know what we might have to endure before the end. But I remember this hope, this pushing of myself and keeping up the effort even though I was exhausted and hurting. Never quit. Never give up. Thanks for reminding me of the stuff I'm made of with this write.
