![]() BabyA Poem by Richard MI'm their baby, she gave me birth, the youngest of four. born with problems, but they've fought so hard. the same rites, privileges, just like others; a regular family, school in the mainstream, corridors dark, calipers, calipers to give me a better life, community acceptance they've lead me through so much, seen me through so much, given to me a life despite, always been there their visions, their plannings the journey, a direction, an opportunity the last to get his licence, a crowded bar, a Friday night, they held their breath. the last to attend a B&S, I'm their baby I'm their baby, they've holidayed me well, I've seen the sights, other opportunities, choices, opportunities I'd never have so many opportunities the richness of being together, the deepness of understanding fifty-nine, still their baby, but what do I owe them? so much, beyond price, have I been a good son? still their baby! © 2024 Richard MReviews
