In Your Story

This is all boring, mundane, obvious stuff yes, but the thought of it drives me insane and makes me dizzy with the possibilities and diversity.

Your histories,

a time before,

their tracks, 

their stories, 

beginnings 

  shaping you.

 

What you thought,

what you felt,

how you felt, 

what you’ve experienced.

 

The yesterdays 

 

Like a fingerprint, 

reaching, diverging

  like contour banks.

 

It’s what you know,

it’s who you know,

it’s times, places,

it's things you hear.

 

Coming together ....

like strands twisted.

 

Where you’ve been,

what you’ve seen,

what you’ve done,

how you've contributed. 

 

It’s conversations,

it’s words, pages,

chapters, stories.   

 

It’s language,

it’s influence,

it’s people in

  your life;

who’ve come

  and gone,

those who stayed,

you are the sum

  of those people!  

 

It's what you do, 

it's how you do,

it's what you think, 

it's how you think. 

 

It's memories, 

it's photos, 

it's family, 

whatever that is. 

 

Coming together ....

twisting, intertwined. 

 

The same road and yet

  individual paths,

the diversity in that! 

 

The things that move us,

the things that feed us,

our learnings, our beliefs.

 

All in the fingerprints of you,

different steps,

different ways,

all you are is 

  contained in you, 

totally, individually you. 

 

Eight billion 'fingerprints',

not one the same, Not one!

the diversity of that,

the  possibilities.

The diversity in life, the diversity in people; each one of us may be influenced by others but each one of us is 100% unique…..and your individuality comes from your experiences in life…like you said, who you speak with, where you’ve been, etc experiences are invaluable in making a us who we are, bot no one is the same.
