In The Morning of Our LivesA Poem by LindsayThis is a poem I wrote for my high school English class. Considering I had to follow certain guidelines it's not exactly how I wanted it, but I figured I'd put it on here to get myself started =]
In the morning of our lives
we can't see far from where we stand. Our sight is rendered far from perfect by the dilemmas we have at hand. But 16 years lived on this earth is like spending only minutes at the zoo. Theres so much more to see and find that the young often leave unchecked. High school may say you're a reject; make you question the reason for your birth. However, these early years do not reflect the person you will become or your worth. It wouldn't be right to give up and not strive to be the very best that you can. Although problems you face now seem awfully grand, they will pass as a new day arrives. But life flies by quickly in front of you like paper caught in the wind, so although there is much ahead, make today count too. Enjoy what you can, and take every opportunity to grin. © 2011 LindsayAuthor's Note
