HealingA Poem by Brandon MarleauThis is about when I began to realize that she was no good for me or anyone else and started to indicate it.Some things get old Like the truths always told Of another deep inside me. She brought it back up And I threw it down Hoping that my savior would come. And when he did I shook my head And backed myself away, To hide in the shadows Of my own mental self And left the intolerance to reign. He helped to heal He helped me grow And threatened to take control But she wouldn't have it And told him off, to get the hell away. The story of hate Shoved in by love And I very nearly never came back. © 2014 Brandon Marleau |
