At last, Home.

At last, Home.

A Poem by Lai
"

Drowning in work, and Water?

"

At last, I’m finally home from work. There was no play. I take out my bottle and take a sip of water.

My throat starts to fill. I am no longer holding the water, there is a hand on my throat and another holding the bottle. The water fills and fills until the hand drops and it all falls at once.

He continues to pour. Pouring the water continuously down my throat as I choke I try kicking but it was no use. I let him. At last

At home where my family has all went. At home with my daughter. The water had taken her too. With water in my throat filling my mouth I mange a “Thank You” and shut my eyes.

At last, I am home.
