Adrian. Man I hope he’s okay. Its six, mom’s preparing dinner. He’d normally be home. I sat on the front steps to await his return. I get to help him carry in the game. Mother’s getting worried again. She’s cooking slower so the food won’t be as could if he gets home any time soon. Or any time at all. I’m starved right now. Our dinner plan is currently between leftovers and grass since Adrian’s not back yet. I’d prefer the first option. But my mind, not as my stomach is, is still focused on Adrian. Where could he be? Could he have lost track of time? Could he have been mauled again? Not all too likely!

The afternoon skies of blue turned into a portrait of orange and purple and red. A yellow ball appearing to sink beneath the canvas. The colors faded with the noon and evening took its place. I lit a torch and hung it on the torch holder. I didn’t normally light torches considering the working light and switch. I lit one anyway, as a signal of best wishes. The flame danced in the darkness a dance that I found more depressing however. Crackling like the forest leaves and swaying along like the wind. It just made me miss him even more. When will he come home? Where is he now? Someone, please! Please tell me, where is Adrian?
