Oxymoronic story, no?

The Four Corners of the World

Tonight by the fireplace I asked my Dad,

"Tell me the secrets of this world."

And he says,

"Sure, son."

And I shall teach you all I have learned.

This world has four corners. Yes, this world, this majestic sphere, has a north end, south end, east end and west end. Now, this may surprise you, because in those nonsense geometry classes you learned that a sphere has no corners.

Well.

This world is a magical place.

Now, in urban Boston, MA, in the center of the media world, a round table sits right next to a doorway.

This round table is a pentagonal circle.

It has negatve 2 sides.

I ate my salted pretzels there. (Now with increased sugar!)

In China, the smoke fills up my lungs.

I mean, what's up with the air?

This rural country of new hurts my head, too.

And, I don't smoke.

Never smoked in my life.

Never will smoke in my life.

But man, I tell you this, cigars are what make this world go 'round.

Okay, so it's not that oxymoronic.

Hmm. It's very open to interpretation.
To the father, perhaps all there is to the world is a square room, the world, where he sat and ate his pretzels, and smog in the lungs, which hurts but is also a pleasure...

Hmm. This is definitely going to kill me, just puzzling it over. ... Damn you.
