Struggle of an Urge

Struggle of an Urge

A Poem by NovaeSpes
"

Sometimes our urges are stronger than our wills.

"
The urge is back, (Just do it already)
This time it's like lingering voice in the back of my mind, a devil on my shoulder. (Come on, you'll feel better.)
A tiny voice, progressively getting louder, (You haven't done it an almost a year, don't you miss the release.)
Now a deafening tone, and a weakening will, (Just grab it, you'll feel better.)
Cold metal and a thick thigh, (Just trace over the old, no one will notice.)
My tear soaked face and sense of false euphoria, (Just let the feeling consume you, focus on it.)
How did it get to this? (How did it get to this.)
