Affair

Affair

A Poem by M Sanders

Married is the man

Married is the woman

Breaking vows, tearing out the pages

Leaving behind an empty book

Through the fights

Through the tears

Through the hardening of hearts

They stand on the edge of indiscretion

Hand in hand, they fall

In a whirl wind, spinning out of control

Too late to stop it, it has been done

Guilt creeps in

What have they done?

I think the story is an old one indeed... Different for everyone who experiences this...
You pen your intention well.
