Simply You and Me

Can't stop dreaming about you, can't get you off my mind. My feelings for you are strong. I thought I had gotten over you, but seeing you brought it all back. I wonder if you feel the same. Could you hear my heart beating, the way I could yours? Could everyone else feel the intensity in our looks? Were we alone? Did the world stop at that small touch? I replay it in my mind every waking moment. Your face remains etched into my memory. you never leave my mind, my thoughts, my heart. Chances keep getting thrown back at us, why are we not taking them? Each time is full of hope and a small sense of disappointment. This time it was different. Hope and happiness were my only emotions. I could scarecely breathe with your eyes on me. The single moment of a single touch, a single look, a single memory and it all comes rushing back. Did your feet touch the ground? Could you feel the wind? So full of hopes and dreams circling around us. The world stopped, everything stilled, it was the perfect moment. And it was simply you and me.
