The Path: Anticipation

The Path: Anticipation

A Poem by SparksLC
"

This is just something I've been contemplating. Oddly enough it really does matter to me though rofl.

"

One final test,

One final trial,

What will be the resulting outcome…?

As the date approaches,

I grow all the more anxious.

For this is the final test,

To see whether that which I found so dear,

Was truly worth it in the end.

There’s one simple memory,

One single date.

Will it matter if been forgotten by this so called important person?

Will the pain, and emotions

Once rise again?

What will be the outcome I thrive so desperately to know the results of?

Is it vain?

Vain to simply throw down all cards,

And give in completely?

Give into these subtle and silent fears, that plague me to this day?

Will I be labeled a coward?

Would it be ridiculous of me?

To hold such a date on such a high importance level,

And see if it is forgotten?

This measly simple date,

This measly simple memory,

Will you remember?

Or will you forget?

Time is running out, the results shall soon be released

And the answers to all my questions

Will finally be revealed.

Keep playing this game of mystery,

Just wait it out till the end.

Only two more weeks of anticipation,

And then we’ll find out,

if it truly mattered then.

Hello, this is just a poem I decided to write about something I've been anticipating over the last few months. It's not as deep as my other work, but hopefully you all like it. Thank you for any views and reviews =)

I enjoyed this. I, for one despise anticipation, so I feel the pain and the questions you ask yourself. You conveyed the torture we put ourselves through due to excitement, nervousness and curiosity. Well done.

its interseting and definatly representative of anticipation. it has nice flow and feels like it rhymes even though it doesn't because of how smooth it is.

This is very easy to understand and also relatable, it is passionate and expressed
the heart in a sincerest way, it cross over and has become real poetry.
Excellent style!
