The Untold Story of Love

Written during a season of trials with my boyfriend as a description of his pain and my promise to stay with him.

Midnight strikes

And my slippers have lost their sparkle

Our scoffers watch

As though they were more than mortal

Souls

But we know

The truth

Close the curtains, turn the lights out

Look at me

The end is coming to this drought

As it shatters into hopeless pieces
