NamesA Poem by Spammy_JOne a.m. and awake with these thoughts
Your name flows through my veins
Slow and pulsing Pressing through every inch of my body Invading my mind and my most intimate places If only your name was something Other than what it is Then perhaps my heart would not ache Every time I hear it My mind becomes clouded My thoughts become scattered My chest bursts into flames Of blue and yellow and red To see you with another One whose name I cannot speak Whose name will never find itself On my bitter-tasting tongue My heart shatters into billions of pieces Knowing that my name Will never fall from your lips like honey Honey Your name flows through my veins Slow and pulsing Pressing through every inch of my body Invading my mind and my most intimate places
