The power of dauntlessness that begets mort of benevolence (Helena, the merciless destroyer)

The power of dauntlessness that begets mort of benevolence (Helena, the merciless destroyer)

A Poem by Fréyjä Helvití

Through wandering labyrinths, I saunter since naissance

Imprisoned by leviathans, behemoths I learnt’ befriend

Strained to fathom such macabre figures with reverence

And to discern my mortality, an irrefutable end

‘Twas the most gruesome picture thou eyes shall have sight

Marks of mordres beget chaos, slaughtered men cold-heartedly

And I, hoarded from death, clouted in disbelief and fright

Prided infamy, shamed to have vanquished helplessly

I, Helena subsist to have behold the eyes of immortality

‘Tis the transformation, tormenting with immense excruciation

However, such fiendish eyes had mold my gore indestructibility

That conjured a hunger, the courtesy of the ultimate destruction.

I was gorged with greed, covetous for blood in thine

Fortification has rendered me ardent for power to conquer

And so, was chosen to lead armies of immense darkest divine,

To have earned the name Helena, the merciless destroyer.

Was I of severe cold-bloodedness, to have taken thy ill-fated lives?

To have routed the bond between mortals and the ruined earth

To have blessed them with beautiful serendipity that made them alive!!!

‘Twas the moment I’ve granted them the fate of one’s magnificent rebirth.

Praise me, for I am the one that once dwelt within the dark savior

Devoured the suffering that taunts and tortures within your seamless behavior!!!

It was worth scrambling for my glasses, not finding them, and zooming in on my iPhone. I may be blind as a blind bat, but this is really something else, in the best way I can try toi explain.

Jealousy is really explained beautifully. I feel panicked at the thought of dying. It's unnatural or natural, depending on how you read this.

I wish it said "fetish eyes". It would add sex to the gory elements and boost your target audience up a few years.

You can really score with my age group. Anyhow, keep reading. You sound like you read a f*****g ton of genius stuff.

i'm in love with the mood of this piece, it doesn't have a hint of sap in it, wonderful, dark, phantasmagoric.

reminds me of Beowulf lol. Only suggestion: only use one exclamation point at the end. Otherwise it loses it's desired effect and becomes humorous in a way.

Wow... honestly, when people write in this old, medieval sort of language, it usually irritates me because I have to reread to figure out what it all means. However, this was beautifully penned and flowed with grace. Not a single hiccup. The imagery was spot on. Loved it!

No! I was just surprised that I enjoyed that part of it. I usually don't. You did a great job. :)
