Farragos of illusion by artistic depression

Farragos of illusion by artistic depression

A Poem by Fréyjä Helvití

Frolicsome creatures upon grassy meadows
Creepish forlorn dead trees that bellows
Beyond the threshold and yonder the glen
Lies Elysian mysteries of time knows when

The illusive breeze of that bloodless May
Of raining twigs and prickling spray
Scars beneath my naked toes
To where I am, nobody knows

Blanched gore as Crimson wine
Underneath dampen gallows we dine
Clamoring rancid silver spoons
Of rampant riches that fade too soon

Nightmarish fantasies of dis figuration
Define me visions of my damnation
Hallucinations dived in melodies
Oh the dread that screams my symphonies

Juvenile harlequins and freakish jesters
Wicked suitors nor erotic splendors
Trappings of this carnal doom
Beneath scorched iron and dungeons gloom

Abyssal pits breathe hopeless cries
They pray for my own souls demise
Lessons that were never learned
Do you see me now? Do you see me burn?

Thundering fears, the deafening silence
Demented tortures, the emerging defiance
Chained amidst the beseeching light
Eternal absence at the dead of night

Ashes breath of fogs that loom
A forsaken bride, the remorseless groom
Denied to her twas one last chance
To take his groom for one last dance

Farragoes of my vast illusions
Memories confused far more delusions
If only I had learned to die
I wouldn't have taught myself to cry...
