Langour

Sullen visions of the dampening void
Overcasting shadows of despondence
Say to me but sweet apathy
My lingering evanescence

The flatulence of memories seducing me
Impelling fantasies of my doom
The stinging spray upon my bare feet
Will it heal the scars too soon?

Importuning delivered the silence
As I am nearly out of breath
Wrap around me the numbness of pain
As I quaintly gasped for death.

God I am sooooooo jealous of your incredible vocabulary, but in a friendly way ;) What a masterpeice of darkness. "Impelling fantasies of my doom" that's my favourite stanza. Your writings are dark and hypnotizing, they easily draw a person in. I read this one 6 times, your choice of words make your pieces addicitve, just like the dark side....

"Quaintly gasped for death"- a great synopsis of the supreme irrelevance of our greatest sufferings. I really like the "flatulence of memories," too. I was reading an occult book about summoning once and a powerful odor of flatulence appeared. Ever since then, I've been convinced the smell of evil is flatulence.
