Through Hollow HallsA Story by SpaceSwordRiley Whitelocke, a highschool student who suffers from Gender identification disorder finds it hard to make friends however when she meets Violet Mathews this all changes.Sighing a young girl with short blond hair and pierceing hazle eyes made her way down the hall, her eyes trained on the ground as she made her way toward her next class. As she walked she could hear the other students whisper to each other, useing words like dyke and lesbain. Trying to ignore the pain that all this made her feel she entered the room, only to be faced with more ridicule.
"Hey, your seat is at the back!" one boy snarled as she walked toward the middle of the room. Causing the other girl to sigh and walked toward the back and sat at the seat farthest away from everyone. However when the students all gathered into the classroom they began to throw spitwads and paperwads at her.
"Hey Freak? What kind of prostitute did you pay last night?" One boy who went by the name of Red demanded however Riley chose to ignore them. The class went by slowly as usaul however soon it was lunch time soon came and the seventeen year old feared that she would be target to her peers snid comments and jokes even then. As soon as the bell rang everyone besides Riley rushed out of the room.
With a sigh Riley grabbed her lunch form her bag and headed toward the outside eating area and took a seat at a picnic table by herself. However to her surprise a young girl walked up to her and timidly put her tray onto the table.
"May I sit here?" she asked timidly and the older girl, who had her mouth full of fruit motioned for the smaller girl to sit down. After swallowing the food she answered quickly "if you want, its your life that everyone will ruin." with that Riley went back to eating.
"what do you mean?" the other girl asked and Riley sighed as she glanced down at the table.
"maybe I shouldn't tell you but I feel like I should. I feel like I should be a man...and I like girls. Its been this way ever since I can remeber and I go to consoling every week but all they can say is that to end this confusion I should have a sex change when I reach adulthood." Riley stated and the other girl sighed.
"you have G.I.D? is that why you said that they would ruin my life?" the younger teen asked and then added quickly "that's so stupid! it is a disorder!"
Riley couldn't beleive that this kid wasn't freaked out, she actually was angry at how the other students were treating her.
"I'm Riley by the way. Riley Whitelocke." The short haired seventeen year old stated as she extended her hand toward the smaller girl.
"Violet Mathews. nice to met you." the other teen stated as she accepted the handshake. © 2012 SpaceSwordAuthor's Note
