Everything

Everything

A Poem by Doug
"

This one rolled through me.

"
there are so many ways it may be

flesh to flesh, breath fogging in the cold, arms straining
to heaven in the desert, black pupil sky stabbed by stars, pierced in the air
over the red earth

mountains sovereign, thorns on distant horizons

“you’re looking for a monster for him to fight your wars for you”

teeth bared cackling in the night, twirling in the red sand and
weeping for the thrill of it, garden rake finger nails scraping brother flesh,
juicy strips seeping into the red earth

sated dunes upraised to heaven

I loved this phrase " black pupil sky stabbed by stars". I just write to ease anxiety, I'm no critic. :)

Creative imagery. The title prepared me for a complex piece but i got something better, i suppose. Reading this poem, two things come to mind... Sex, and violence. But that could just be me. Nice piece though ^_^

I am amazed at the height and the depth you have got to. . . you are a brilliant student.
