silence

silence

A Poem by Soyam
"

an untold love story

"

Happiness, a fleeting dance,
To leave or to go, a delicate trance.
Love, is it mine or yours to claim?
Or is it a shared, unspoken flame?

Your heartbeat whispers, quiet and shy,
Untold intentions in every sigh.
Broken by the weight of expectation,
Forced to bend by life’s limitation.

The world is wide, an endless sky,
But thoughts are narrow, they twist and lie.
Listening to them brings only sorrow,
Doubts that dim the light of tomorrow.

When I seek the reason, silence reigns,
But in your embrace, the answer remains.
Your heartbeat speaks what words cannot,
In its rhythm, I find all I’ve sought.

Though distance keeps us far apart,
I’ll make love to the day we restart.
I’ll let you go, but in truth, you’ll stay,
For your soul is with mine, come what may.

Happiness isn’t in holding tight,
But in losing ourselves in the light.
Not in getting, but in being one,
In the warmth of love, under the sun.

love the line "I'll make love to the day we restart"---
romantic piece that reminds me of a couple of long distance relationships I had years ago.
we were one for scattered moments.
