A Poem by Soyam
"

...

"

When it was said that love's no sin,
Why then be punished, again and again?
You inflict wounds, but ask me to endure,
With borrowed breath, you say, "Keep living for sure."

Love, when it touched the earthly ground,
Life pledged to you, a sacrifice profound.
Love remained alive, amidst the slain,
Yet the one who loved was met with pain.

If this is the limit, we shall transcend,
Love will persist, even if it portends.
In silence, love will silently fade away,
This fortune unveiled on love's own display.

You write such a powerful poem of loving... of life in that love... and the pain in that love. The poem aches to become a story... and the story into a book of endless pages. I have to wonder who is this alive in your poetry... this sacred love... surviving... suffering... yet always rising. Everything is stirred by your thoughts.

Love is certainly not a sin... in fact it should be nurtured.... endured.... by both parties...yet it seems you've been punished by love and pain has been inflicted on you.... this poem is very powerful and well written

I love it. Thank you
Could it be? Love can only persist for so long and eventually it will die...maybe it cannot win.
if so, we are all in a lot of trouble.
