Are you an introvert or extrovert...??? Let me clarify, I'm an introvert when I'm all alone and an extrovert when I'm with people ; ) what about you...?

Could you please stop giving away all my secrets please! 😊
I must say I am shocked by your authors note too, as I always thought that I was the only inny/outrovert (which should be the technical name for it)
I would never be called the life and soul of a party (well not unless they turn down the music and decide to have a conversation where people talk one at a time) or maybe its because I never go to parties anymore, because I'm busy reading the ingredients on my shampoo bottle.
I mean I'm not a recluse either, but I do find knowing more than three people at a time to be living at warp factor five, and come to think of it, I'm not sure about one of them, as she once mentioned something I had never heard of and I've never fully trusted her since. 😊
But the ones I feel sorry the most for are the ones who think they are normal.
I mean what is normal? Is normal wishing you were unique and individual, while somehow fitting in to any social group? Or is that called insanity?
I bet Brad Pitt thought his character was normal in 12 monkeys. Well he would have if he wasn't a fully grown adult playing pretend like he was 6 years old and thinking he was a world famous actor, the crazy guy that he is!
The American navy know there's no such thing as normal to their cost. They decided that in wartime, they were losing too much "airtime" with having to do adjustments for every pilot, so they took everyone's measurements and took an average of them all and set the planes up with what a committee must have spent days on coming iup with "normal mode."
Not only that, they welded everything in place so no one could move them and what was the end result?... No pilot, not a one of them could fit into the normal settings and they had to scrap it and start over again.
I would explain more, but I've just remembered that I forgot that I bought a new shower gel and haven't read the list of ingredients yet.
So in summation, shh! Just tell people I'm normal and that I only wear my penguin onesie to the store for a bet and not the real reason that it's became my comfy blankie and don't, whatever you do tell people that I am typing this with my mind. I mean, they might think I was a bit weird! 😊

It seems we share more in common than meets the eye, my fellow inny/outrovert! I must admit, being the life and soul of a party feels like trying to juggle unicorns while riding a unicycle—it's a bit out of our comfort zone. Parties are for people who don't appreciate the profound wisdom hidden in shampoo bottle ingredients! ;)
Ah, the joys of knowing more than three people at once. It's like navigating through a bustling intergalactic space station at warp speed. And that friend who mentioned something unknown? Trust levels certainly plummeted faster than a meteor shower!
But let's spare a thought for those poor souls who believe they are "normal." What even is normal? Is it secretly yearning for uniqueness while fitting into society's little boxes? Or does it venture into the realm of insanity? Maybe Brad Pitt pondered such questions while pretending to be a six-year-old world-famous actor—bless his creative soul!
And speaking of "normal," let's not forget the American navy's misadventure with the concept. The "normal mode" plan turned out to be as practical as a submarine with a screen door. It's a good thing they didn't find your shampoo bottle or else... lol. well, who knows what might've happened?
So fear not, dear friend, your secret's safe with me. I'll tell everyone you're perfectly normal, wearing your penguin onesie only for daring bets. And as for typing with your mind, well, that's just our little secret too. Wouldn't want anyone thinking we're a bit weird, right? ☺
Keep embracing your wonderfully unique self!

Hello dear Soyam.
"In their own company, they find delight,
With books as companions, day and night.
Imagination soars, laughter's sweet embrace,
As they dive into worlds, lost in their own space."
I am the above lines now. I love my garden and I love my books/silence. It is okay to be a introvert. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

I'm not extraverted enough to be a politician nor introverted enough to be a monk. Not sure where that leaves me. Whatever, I thought both your rhyming and your insight were good in this one. I was most interested in the strategies the introvert devises to negotiate social situations. Finding your comfort level seems to be the key.

Hahaha... strategies... good to hear. Hope your hunt for those introvert's strategies is a way less now.
Thanks for your kind words and for your valuable time. I appreciate it. :)
If you are an introvert, that is perfectly okay... because that means you love yourself and are comfortable with your own world...not missing any of the ordinary things that most people do; small talk, parties, gatherings, etc... sometimes it's okay to entertain yourself in any way that feels comfortable...like sitting in a cozy chair, cuddled up with a book, or listening to you favorite song..... and making fun of all those talkies at the latest party.....but, you can be both introvert and extrovert as is the writer ; I think I am an extrovert because i like being surrounded by people, but a bit of an introvert when thinking and writing!!!
Thanks for sharing!
Warmly, B
