dear Soyam… children are indeed “little water warriors". When we were in Grades four through eight … we often walked to and from School in the Rain… dressed in Rain Coats and Rain Boots,, Care-free and happy. Now we carry an Umbrella and often dance in the Rain. A lovely Poem .., tenderly, Pat

Makes us all relive our childhood days as a kid on a rainy day. Of course growing up in south Texas we didn't care for shoes. We would walk barefooted through the puddles, splishing and splashing and making mud pies. Sometimes are little road filled up so much, it made a river, so we would find rocks and make a dam. Great times, fun times, and very innocent times. Thank you for sharing. Love your poetry Soyam.

Well, this is the most joyous one shared here... Thanks for making us a part of your childhood memories.
And thanks for your kind words , I'm my poetry makes you nostalgic.. I appreciate your time :)
You have excellent rhyming abilities. I too shared my thoughts on children and rain a while back.
Children experience wonder in a way adults forgot how. But we can always live vicariously through them remembering those times when we ourselves may have splashed through puddles, or listened to the rain tap our raincoat hoods like music.
Good writing here. :)

As a kid, I jumped in every puddle while my mom screamed not to do it! kids love the rain because its so much fun to lick it, jump in it, dance in it, as you well portray... its having freedom in part of nature..getting all soaked up is the most fun....why adults don't like it, I have no idea...they are always covering up with umbrellas and raincoats and running away from the rain....very well written with a lovely rhyme scheme
Best, B

A wonderful poem shared dear Soyam. Nothing better than a hot day and rain for a child. I loved how you described the happiness and the joy. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

A wonderful perspective of rain as viewed through the eyes of a child. Oh, that we could keep that sense of wonder and innocence with us always, what a gift that would be. And some have it; some can lay claim to childish wonder and beauty as their own. I don't claim to know innocence but I am familiar with the subject matter to a point of empathy. This was great. I enjoyed the read.
