Heartless

Heartless

A Poem by Soyam
"

Yes I admit

"
How can I give you what I don't possess?
A heart I lack, a soul in distress.

We crossed paths, my heart in hand I held,
But you shattered it, leaving me compelled.

Yes, I am heartless, void of my own,
But with you, love's seed was sown.

In your grasp, my heart found a place,
You taught me love's embrace, with grace.

The eternity of love, the depth of a soul,
You revealed their secrets, making me whole.

Yet you departed, and my heart dispersed,
Leaving me longing, love's flame immersed.

I love you, not for your beating heart,
But for the essence of you, a divine art.

No, you didn't scatter my fragile life,
It was expectations that caused the strife.

With time, I learned love's profound decree,
To lose oneself in someone, unconditionally.

Thus, I began to love you with no demand,
Finding solace, no longer in love's quicksand.

Miles apart, your presence I sense,
In the moon's glow and starry expanse.

I love you as you are, in every way,
Whether near or distant, night or day.

Though we may never meet in this worldly domain,
Our souls shall reunite, love's eternal terrain.

Hand in hand, towards eternity's gate,
 We'll traverse together, transcending fate.

Now, in my grasp, I hold a heart of thine,
Filled with love's essence, a cherished sign.

Yes, I am heartless, yet love overflows
your soul, a beacon, forever it glows.

If you cannot have's one's whole being, body, soul, unconditional love and embrace, with him by your side, then you may accept his intentions in essence without the touch....you have been pained, but you realize now that just the envision of him may be enough in life and in death. dutifully crafted....loved the couplets...

Nice Work in a formal context and it really flows along, with honesty and conviction.

Dear Soyam, we do protect our heart. Forgiveness, sometimes impossible to receive. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Beautifully written, proving that your heart is broken, not misplaced.
It takes a lot to show our scars from within, but only when we do, can we be true to our own self and begin to repair the damage done.
A raw depiction of our own fragility and insecurity, is the first step toward healing.
