No-One's Crying But Me

No-One's Crying But Me

A Poem by Johann L. Kohler
"

Another song I've been working on. Yes, it's a bit emo, even for me, but...yeah. 8 Oct 2007

"

don't you remember singing in the car
don't you remember your hand in mine?
what happened to keeping you warm
don't you remember when i was fine?

don't you remember holding me tight?
don't you remember the warm breeze?
what happened to our silent nights
don't you remember wanting to run free?

[chorus]
now you've got your parade
and it's raining on no-one but me
and i cry on the side until my eyes ache
it's getting too hard to stay awake

don't you remember hearing the rain?
don't you remember the snow and frost?
what happened to your faith in me
don't you remember what we've lost?

don't you remember just being us?
don't you remember me at all?
what happened to love so suddenly
don't you remember last fall?

did you care
when they found me here, on the floor?
did you care
when you first told me
you were closing the door?

[chorus]
now you've got your parade
and it's raining on no-one but me
and i cry on the side until my eyes ache
it's getting too hard to stay awake

now i've got my parade
and it's raining on no-one but me
and no-one's crying until their heart breaks
and i'll never have to be awake
again
