Why Can’t You Be With Me

Why Can’t You Be With Me

A Poem by Sourav

The wind sings and dances everyday

On its own creation of wordless song

Breaks the bouquet of silence, runs away

Reminds me life is moving and I must go on;

The sky mingles with dark gray clouds

A few drops of rain over my memory

Romanticism in the air makes the earth proud

But romance is listless when you ain’t with me.

Raindrops fall and kiss the sphere of green

Earth yearns to live in this sensuousness, forever

When sun rises again, it bows to the pristine

Love grows in innocence and flows like mystic river;

In the mystic river there floats my mind

Wind still sings the song of a relentless journey

I look back to see what I’ve left behind

And asked myself, why can’t you be with me?

The use of "ain't" struck me as being an interesting choice.
I not only appreciate what you say, Sourav, I enjoy the way you say it.
Very fine work!

A wonderfully romantic poem. The words flow; you paint a serene place to reflect on love. Great write.

So passionate and so true poem, where you show your love for her. And you saw so many wonderful things that you describe, and you just wanted to be with her...
Very romantic insight: "Love grows in innocence and flows like mystic river"...
