Into the Haze

Into the Haze

A Poem by Sourav

You walk

And walk alone

Suddenly find yourself

Into the haze-

You tremble

You shiver

But do not stop

Because you don’t know how to-

You’re not in your control

And who controls you-

Is beyond you.

And you walk

And walk through the mist

Hoping to go clear

A little bit of sunrise

That is all you need

But your nemesis-

Manages to exceed

One more time,

And slowly you dissolve into the haze.

I like the ending, 'And slowly you dissolve into the haze'. I see this as the anxiety dissipating. And it is true that a walk often makes one feel better. But I have a feeling that you use the word, walk, as a metaphore. If so, for what? I would love to know.

I think we all do this at times. Push it to the limit. Keep pushing it. Till you can push no more.

I'm sure there are many interpretations for this. I see anxiety and fear as possible culprits for such an occurrance. I've had anxiety attacks in the past. They're no fun.
