Human RegimeA Poem by SouravA lonely dog is frolicking in the neon light A fulminant breeze brings more dust to my sight Days more ghostly than despondent nights In a corner an infant sleeps like a fallen kite. Few youngsters are busy with their obscenity A girl crosses the road with her bawdy vanity Posters on the wall, a call for religious unity The insane smiles by watching their insanity. Every day you and I meet in a dark shabby room This is the only place where our love can groom We lie down quietly like two corpses in one tomb Stench of death is stronger than any fancy perfume. Withered hopes fuse and die with battered dreams In this depth of void, life takes the downstream A fallen race, forgotten muse, no humanity to redeem Thus, we build our world, an empire, a human regime.
