A Son's LoveA Poem by SoundzMy Granddad passed away, and my father was having a hard time dealing with his pain. He sent me a poem he wrote and asked me to "work my magic" haha. This is my magic.A Son’s Love To feel the memory of
a day gone cold, With lights finally letting
go of a man so bold. Still wanted to feel joy,
but my eyes yet know That you going leaves
me here without your mold. Knowing the whispers
of younger days, With laughs and gifts
of peaceful rays, Will from now be bitter
sweet Causing thoughts of memories
liven better ways. Time is in the
yesterday. Where is the heart? Uncertain to fly away or play it smart. Yours is given to
gentle souls that know no pain, But those left
here still remain. One of these
Days will never come, A broken promise. Man, I was so young. Back to so many times
we laughed and drank The trust of the music,
plus the sickly whiskey, must have lifted us, But still our lonely
hearts sank. Time is in the
yesterday. Where is the heart? Sell it to the
whiskey or play it smart? Yours is with gentle
souls that feel no more pain. The pain of us
missing you still remains. © 2018 SoundzAuthor's Note
