Ghosted Hearts

Ghosted Hearts

A Poem by Soumya
"

Feelings of a ghost

"
Come the morning soft blue lights,
the hordes have left and taken flights,
Could only last one dreaded night,
a tranquil sun will rise.

A troupe upon the cobbled street,
the witch and her minions meet,
devoid of mind and bare of feet,
a grisly feast by moonlight.

One lady frozen on a stair,
missing hearts and half her hair.
like time has stopped for ever more,
her blood it never reached the floor.

The midnight hours all but lost,
back to its earthly grave of frost.
if i remember what i have lost,
I can see there is a cost.

This sounds so peaceful and beautiful contrary to its dark topic. Lovely!
